Frequently asked questions

Questions Toronto HVAC owners ask before hiring us

These are the questions heating and cooling owners in Toronto actually ask us, with direct answers. If yours isn't here, call, text or email and ask it.

Written by Ali Sedighi, MBALast updated:

Most Toronto HVAC owners we talk to have been burned at least once by marketing that looked busy and produced little. The questions above are the ones they ask before trusting anyone again. Below, we add a few longer answers that don't fit in two sentences.

Frequently asked questions

How much does HVAC marketing cost in Toronto?

Our plans are $2,998, $4,498 or $8,998 a month, plus 13% HST, and websites start at $3,500 one-time. Ad spend goes to Google separately. In Toronto, ad spend is often the bigger variable, which is why we set it from your job values.

Do we have to sign a long contract?

No. There's no lock-in. We'd rather keep clients because the work pays back than because a contract says they can't leave.

How soon will we see calls?

Local Services Ads can bring calls within a few weeks once Google's verification is complete. Organic search for specific equipment and building searches usually takes three to six months, and broad Toronto terms take longer.

We tried an agency before and got nothing. Why would this be different?

Ask what the last agency measured. If the report showed impressions and clicks but never booked jobs, that's usually where it went wrong. We start from your job data, put the plan and cost in writing, and report on calls and booked jobs where you share them.

Who owns the website and the ad accounts?

You do. Your domain, website, Google Business Profile, Local Services and Google Ads accounts and analytics are registered to your company, and you keep them if you leave.

Can you promise we'll rank first for furnace repair Toronto?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Rankings change and depend on many factors outside anyone's control. We set realistic targets for searches you can win and report honestly against them.

Are you an HVAC contractor or a lead reseller?

Neither. We don't do any HVAC work, and we don't sell leads to multiple companies. The calls our marketing produces go to your business only.

Do you work with condo and high-rise HVAC specialists?

Yes. We market in-suite fan coil and heat-pump replacement to suite owners, and building-wide service to boards, managers and rental tower owners.

Can you help us sell more heat pumps?

Yes, through campaigns that explain options and current rebates honestly and send homeowners to your team for an assessment. We cite rebate programs with a date and tell readers to confirm with the administrator.

What do the monthly reports show?

Calls and texts by source, Local Services leads and credits, cost per lead and per booked job where you share outcomes, organic rankings for your target searches, and what we'll change next month. Growth and Elite add more frequent reporting.

Do you cover the whole city?

Yes, all 158 official neighbourhoods. Most companies are better off focusing on the districts their trucks reach easily, and we plan around that.

Can we start small?

Yes. Start with the 7-day free trial audit, then pick the plan that fits. Many companies begin with Starter and a Local Services Ads setup before adding keyword or condo work.

Who will we talk to?

A senior strategist, with strategy led by Ali Sedighi, MBA. You reach us by call, text or email.

What to ask any Toronto HVAC marketing company

Whether you hire us or someone else, these questions sort the serious from the slick.

  1. Will my accounts be in my company's name? The only acceptable answer is yes.
  2. How will you measure booked jobs, not just leads? Look for call tracking by source and a willingness to work with your dispatch records.
  3. Which searches will you not chase, and why? A good answer shows they've thought about Toronto's competition rather than promising everything.
  4. How will you handle Local Services Ads lead quality? They should mention lead feedback and credit tracking.
  5. Who writes the technical content? It should draw on your technicians' knowledge, not generic text.

Our services page shows how we answer each of these in practice.

Why Toronto needs a different plan from smaller cities

Three things change the plan here: the number of competitors on every major search, the share of homes in towers, and how quickly a slow response costs you position on Local Services Ads. A plan that works in a smaller Ontario city can burn money in Toronto because it bids on the same broad terms with no ceiling. Our keyword strategy page explains how we choose battles instead.

What a realistic first year looks like

  • Months 1–2: audit, written plan, Local Services Ads set up or repaired, first new pages.
  • Months 3–6: cost per lead stabilises, early organic calls from specific equipment and building pages, first condo or heat-pump campaigns if they're in scope.
  • Months 6–12: organic share of calls grows, ad spend shifts toward peak weeks, and we review which districts and lines to expand.

This isn't a promise of results; it's the sequence the work follows. Your market, reviews and call handling decide the pace.

How we handle the busy season

Toronto HVAC companies hit capacity in the first cold snap and the first heat wave, and marketing that keeps pushing calls you can't serve does more harm than good. Before each peak we agree a plan with you: how much spend to hold back if crews are full, which job types to switch off in Local Services Ads, and who covers calls after hours. During the peak we watch answered-call rates closely and tell you if the numbers suggest lowering spend. In the shoulder seasons we shift budget toward replacement, condo and heat-pump campaigns, when your crews have room and homeowners have time to research.

How we handle a company that's already ranking well

Some owners call us because their rankings are fine but the calls are the wrong kind: lots of small repair calls, few replacements. In that case we don't rebuild what works. We look at which searches bring the calls you want, add pages for equipment and building types that carry larger tickets, and adjust your Business Profile and ads to match. Protecting what you've already earned comes first.

What we need from you

  • last season's job list, ideally with equipment type, building type, postal code and value
  • access to your website, Business Profile and ads accounts (or permission to set them up in your name)
  • a person who can answer questions about your work within a day or two
  • honest information about capacity in peak weeks
